Wounds UK Conference
17/11/2010
Just got back from this year's Wounds UK Conference in Harrogate.
I expected it to be a lot quieter than in previous years, but they seem to have done a pretty good job in getting delegates along - a really good event.

Scottish Water project nearing completion
10/10/2010
Getting towards the end of an interesting project for Scottish Water, producing regulatory returns and developing an application to allow them to repeat the process in future years.
There's a lot more to the water industry than I ever realised - I suppose it's one of those things you just take for granted, as long as water comes out when you turn the tap.
Another Clinical Trial taking shape
04/08/2010
Reached an agreement in principle to develop a new Clinical Trial web application.
It's for a new client but there are some familiar faces there, which is always a good thing.
Milestone for telemedicine system
11/06/2010
The 500th patient was referred through our telemedicine system this week.
Conservative estimates are 40,000 miles that patients or clinicians haven't had to travel, and something like 100 overnight hospital stays prevented. That's one entire hospital bed freed up for more than three months...
A lot of IT can be a little bit invisible, so it's really good to be involved in something that makes a massive difference to people's lives. I'm not kidding myself - it's the clinicians who really make the difference, but they can't do that without the right tools, and our telemedicine system lets them work a lot more efficiently.
