about pueblo systems Ltd

Founded in 1997, pueblo systems Ltd is a small, independent IT consultancy based just outside Edinburgh, in East Lothian, Scotland.

In fact, 'small' doesn't really do it justice; to all intents and purposes pueblo systems is really just me, Jamie McGuffog, although from time to time my wife, a graphic designer, tells me where I'm going wrong.

That means that the only person you will deal with in my business is me, and the only person responsible for the service I provide is me, so I need to do whatever it takes to make sure you, as a client, are happy.  And that has to be a good thing, doesn't it?

Since starting the business Ive provided a variety of services, from consultancy, website development, infrastructure planning and management through to long term IT support to a lot of very different companies across both the public and private sectors, from multinationals to start-ups.   As diverse as they are, these companies all have one thing in common, and likely have it in common with your business too they need to make their IT strategy and infrastructure fit their business, not the other way round!

what's in a name?

Good question.  If I had my time again, I'd probably choose a different name for the business.  If I had a pound for every time I've had to spell it to someone over the phone, I'd have literally several pounds, if not more.

The truth is that I like the shapes of the letters, it's as simple as that.  Later, I discovered that the pueblo were a tribe of Native Americans who were mostly farmers whereas many of the other tribes were mostly hunters.  Generations of my family before me were farmers too, so it kind of fits, albeit accidentally.
